 FORUM: cooking healthier hot chips
I have found that you dont need to deep fry hot chips It is just as nice laying them in the oven on some baking paper Apart from eachother, a bit of oil can help to make them extra Crispy. This sure beats having them cooked in Trans fats.....

 How to Prepare

1. Cut vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Boil the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla bean and seeds.

2. Cool milk mixture.

3. Beat together egg yolks, add milk mixture, stirring well.

4. Strain mixture and pour it over the refractory portion forms. Put the forms in a deep pan and pour in water up to about 1 / 3 of the forms.

5. Bake in oven at 150 C, for about 30-40 minutes. The creme brulee should feel slightly firm when you press it lightly.
Cool slightly and sprinkle over a thin layer of brown sugar (regular sugar can also be used). Place dessert under the grill element for 2-3 minutes until the sugar has turned to caramel.

For an extra nice touch add cream and strawberries!
