 How to Prepare
  1. Pre-heat oven to 170 degrees.

  2. Cut the lemon in half and rubb it inside out of the chicken
  3. Rub the turkey with salt and pepper and add stuffing.
  4. Tie the turkey and the turkey wings up so that the stuffing will stay inside.
  5. Remove it to a roasting pan with the breast side up.
  6. Add melted butter all over the turkey and cover the breast with aluminium foil.
  7. Leave it in the oven for 20 minutes.
  8. Take it out of the oven, take off the foil and turn it over on it's side and cook for another 15 minutes.
  9. Take it out of the oven and turn it over on it's other side and cook for another 15 minutes.
  10. Take it out of the oven again and turn it over so that it stays with the breast side up and cook for 30 - 45 minutes.

It takes approx 30 - 40 minutes per kilo to roast a turkey. Remember to butter the turkey every now and then and pour over it's own stock every 30 minutes to keep it moist.

After the turkey is doen roasting you will need to take it out of the oven cover it with foil, turn it over so that the breast side faces down and let it sit for 20 minutes. We do this so that the juices go back out to the meat and make it juicy.

Serve with turkey gravy and vegetables.
