| How
to Prepare |
|
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Process the butter, flour and cold water in a food processor or alternatively use your hands. Knead until smooth (leave in fridge for 20 min to have a better dough to work with) use a rolling pin and roll out until the thickness of your liking, transfer to a tart or pai tray and stick it with a fork to stop it from rising. Cook for 10 minutes before adding the egg mix.
Cook the bacon until golden and crispy, add the spring onions/leek and capsicum for a couple of minutes. Scatter the bacon, onion and capsicum over the base of the pastry case.
Whisk together the eggs, milk/cream, salt and pepper and pour over the bacon mixture add the cheese on top.
Cook 30 minutes on 175 degrees.
